Welcome to Ntangle! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Ntangle mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service") operated by Ntangle ("we," "our," or "us").
1. Eligibility
To use Ntangle, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Be legally able to enter into a binding contract
- Not be prohibited from using the Service under applicable law
- Not have been previously banned from Ntangle
2. Your Account
When you create an account, you agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Promptly update any information that changes
- Accept responsibility for all activity under your account
- Not share your account with anyone else
3. Community Guidelines
Ntangle is designed to help people form genuine connections. To keep our community safe and welcoming, you agree NOT to:
Prohibited Content
- Post photos or videos that aren't of you
- Share sexually explicit or pornographic content
- Post content that promotes violence, hatred, or discrimination
- Share copyrighted content without permission
- Post spam, advertisements, or promotional material
Prohibited Behavior
- Harass, bully, stalk, or threaten other users
- Impersonate another person or create fake profiles
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose
- Solicit money or financial information from other users
- Attempt to manipulate or deceive other users
- Use automated systems, bots, or scripts
4. Content You Share
You retain ownership of content you post on Ntangle. However, by posting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content in connection with operating the Service.
You represent that you have all necessary rights to share any content you post, and that your content doesn't violate anyone else's rights.
5. Safety
Your safety is important to us, but we cannot guarantee the identity or behavior of other users. You acknowledge that:
- We do not conduct criminal background checks on users
- We are not responsible for the conduct of users on or off the Service
- You should exercise caution when meeting people in person
- You should always meet in public places and tell someone your plans
If you experience any concerning behavior, please report it immediately through the app or by contacting safety@ntangle.app.
6. Video Calls and Dates
Ntangle facilitates video calls and helps you schedule dates. You agree to:
- Behave respectfully during video calls
- Not record video calls without the other person's consent
- Honor scheduled dates or cancel with reasonable notice
- Take responsibility for your own safety when meeting in person
7. Intellectual Property
The Ntangle name, logo, and all related names, logos, and designs are trademarks of Ntangle. The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Ntangle and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
8. Subscriptions and Payments
Ntangle offers an optional premium subscription ("Ntangle Premium") available as a monthly or annual auto-renewable subscription.
Billing
- Subscriptions are billed through Apple's App Store. All payments are processed by Apple and are subject to Apple's terms and conditions.
- The subscription price is displayed in the app before purchase and may vary by region.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
Auto-Renewal
- Your subscription automatically renews unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
- Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the same price.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your device's Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions.
Free Trials
If offered, any unused portion of a free trial period will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
Refunds
Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with their refund policy. We are unable to process refunds directly.
Apple's Standard EULA
Your use of the app is also subject to the Apple Licensed Application End User License Agreement.
9. Termination
You can delete your account at any time through the app settings. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion.
Upon termination:
- Your profile will be removed from the Service
- Your matches and conversations will be deleted
- You will lose access to any premium features
10. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not guarantee that:
- The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
- You will find a romantic partner
- Other users are who they claim to be
- Any specific features will continue to be available
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, NTANGLE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS UNDER THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS, IF ANY.
12. Disputes
Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service will be governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to conflict of law principles.
You agree to resolve any disputes through binding arbitration rather than in court, except that either party may bring claims in small claims court if eligible.
13. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll notify you of material changes through the app or by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
